KBS란 무엇인가?
KBS(Korean Bible Studies)는 1989년에 Washington D.C.를 중심으로 시작된 캠퍼스 사역으로, 현재 미주지역과 한국, 뉴질랜드를 비롯한 세계 각지에서 소그룹으로 말씀을 통한 제자양육을 하고 있습니다. 성경을 공부함으로써 하나님을 알아가고자 하는 분들이라면 참여에 아무런 제약이 없으며 누구에게나 열려있습니다.

주제설명
우리는 많은 사람과 지식이 빠르게 이동하는 하루하루를 살아가면서, 전염병과 자연재해, 전쟁으로 인한 이웃의 아픔에도 익숙해지고 있습니다. 하지만 죄와 사망의 법 아래 신음하는 모든 피조물의 고통은 인류의 역사 속에 지금도 계속되고 있습니다. 나라가 망하여 바벨론 포로로 끌려온 다니엘과 세 친구들이 겪은 절망과 탄식, 유대인과 이방인으로 이루어진 로마 공동체의 분열과 끝없는 갈등은 오늘을 살아가는 우리의 모습과 그리 다르지 않습니다.
하나님께서는 죄 앞에 답이 없는 우리에게 예수 그리스도로 값을 대신 지불하시고 하나님과 평화를 이루는 긍휼을 베푸셔서 우리를 성령의 법으로 해방하셨습니다. 이것은 이 세상의 역사를 시작하시고 돌보시는 통치자 하나님의 주권적인 은혜입니다. 하나님은 언약들을 성취하셨고, 지금도 일하고 계시며, 말씀하신 모든 것을 완성하실 것입니다. 끝이 보이지 않는 절망과 갈등 속에서 주의 백성이 여전히 소망을 가질 수 있는 이유는 이토록 신실하신 하나님의 주권과 영원한 하나님 나라와 말씀의 권세에 있습니다. 말씀대로 오신 예수 그리스도를 통한 하나님 나라의 약속과, 오실 예수 그리스도를 통한 영원한 하나님 나라의 완성은 오늘 우리에게도 동일한 소망입니다.
신실하신 하나님께서 우리를 그 말씀의 신실함으로 초대하시며, 믿음으로 반응하기를 기대하십니다. 다니엘서와 로마서를 함께 묵상하면서 하나님의 주권적인 은혜와 사랑, 예수 그리스도를 통한 약속과 소망이 우리 안팎에 새롭게 회복되기를 바랍니다.

As we live in a fast-evolving world, we find ourselves becoming more and more indifferent to the suffering of our neighbors, even those whose lives have been devastated by the pandemic, natural disasters, and wars. Regardless of our indifference, the stark reality of the groaning suffering of all creations under the laws of sin and death continues to manifest and dominate human history. The feeling of despair and hopelessness that Daniel and his three friends underwent when they were taken as prisoners to Babylon and the division and endless conflict within the Roman church community experienced between the Jews and the Gentiles are not much different from our suffering today in the 21st century.
But, by His mercy, God freed us, who were hopeless under the dominance of sin, into the law of the Holy Spirit by the blood of Jesus Christ, bringing us within the peace of God. This is the sovereign grace of God the ruler, who is the beginning and the overseer of the history of this world. God has fulfilled the covenant, and He continues to work and will complete everything according to His word. The reason why we continue to have this hope amidst endless despair and conflict is the trust and faith in the sovereignty of God, the eternal Kingdom of God, and the power of the Word of God. The promise of the Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ who came according to His word and the fulfillment of the eternal Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ who is to come are the same hope that we long to experience today.
As the faithful God invites us to the faithfulness of His word, let us respond to His call in the same faith. We hope that the sovereign grace and love of God and the promises and hope through Jesus Christ will renew us inside out as we meditate on the redemptive, living words of the books of Daniel and Romans.
